In the mood for Lakewood

(December 29, 2011)

For how many months now have I been hearing fuss about a newly developed resort in one municipality of the outskirts of Zamboanga del Sur. I’ve seen it couple times in Facebook and read updates in Twitter but never have I set foot in that said place. Alindahaw Lakeview Resort has been fascinating and catching everyone’s attention due to its increasing popularity not only with the locals but tourists alike, but since I am studying in Cebu as of the moment, and seldom do I go back to Pagadian (only if vacations), I was really not able to go there, not until last December 29, 2011.

Getting There.

The Alindahaw Lakeview Resort is accessible utilizing the highway where buses en route for Zamboanga plies. It is located after the Municipality of Tigbao.  Usually, commuting time from Pagadian using a private vehicle would take an hour ride but if you’re going to ride in a bus it might take 1 and a half hour due to frequent stop over. From Zamboanga City it can be accessible using the Zamboanga-Pagadian route via Ipil.

Taken during our stop-over somewhere in Lakewood to have lunch.

An entrance fee of P50.00 per person will be charged against you and this would already permit you to use their swimming pool. Different activities can be done in Alindahaw Resort. The following are few of the many activities you can do in the resort:

Kayaking would depend on how many people would be (100/hr for 1 person, 200 for two per hour, 250 for 3 per hour).  While kayaking, you may enjoy playing the inflatable platform in the middle of the lake.

Lakecruising can also be arranged at Php1000.00 for 1 and ½ hour tour around the lake.

Swimming of course can be enjoyed in the resort with their four swimming pools available including one disco pool.  One pool is designed for toddlers, another is designed for children, and another pool is designed for adults, while the last pool or the disco pool is for check-in guests. Guests can also swim along the lake but only those who are expert swimmers for the lake is deep.
